The Connecticut Huskies overcame a banged up Kemba Walker to earn a 69-58 victory over the Cincinnati Bearcats.
Walker was simply phenomenal, finishing with a game-high 33 points, six rebounds and five assists.
He could be seen holding his right hand and limping throughout the game from a knee to the thigh.
The point guard single-handledly carried them to victory, with only two teammates reaching double figures in scoring. (Read More…)

From losing three times in their final four regular-season games and having to play an extra game in the Big East tournament, the Connecticut Huskies now are 40 minutes from an unlikely destination: Houston and the Final Four.

The Connecticut Huskies carried their momentum from the Big East tournament into the NCAA’s with an 81-52 rout of the Bucknell Bison.
There was concern coming into the game that UConn might be exhausted from their run through the Big East tournament.
Bucknell was a well-coached team that could knock down three’s, so they could have been an upset threat.
Instead, the Huskies impressed just about everyone by coming out firing on all cylinders, turning the game into a rout in the opening half. (Read More…)

Kemba Walker put on one of the greatest performances in conference tournament history last week, helping spark the Connecticut Huskies to the Big East championship.
Thursday, the Huskies opened the NCAA tournament, and Walker put together another great performance. Finishing just two rebounds shy of a triple-double, Walker sparked the UConn offense in an 81-52 rout of Bucknell in the second round of the NCAA East regional at Washington, D.C. (Read More…)

The first step in the Connecticut Huskies’ postseason was a laugher. But getting through the rest of the Big East tournament won’t be anything to snicker about.

The No. 9 Connecticut Huskies took care of business in a 75-57 win over the visiting Providence Friars.
Star guard Kemba Walker finished with 22 points, seven assists and six rebounds to lead the Huskies.
Jamal Coombs-McDaniel came out of nowhere to score a game-high 25 points, which is 12 higher than his career-best.
Head coach Jim Calhoun said his relationship with Coombs-McDaniel has been stormy, but it was anything but that in the win over the Friars. (Read More…)
