The Connecticut Huskies suffered in their toughest defeat of the season, falling in double overtime to the visiting Louisville Cardinals, 79-78.
Kemba Walker had a chance to win the game at the buzzer, but his very long three-point attempt clanked off the rim.
The Huskies should have closed things out at the end of regulation, but missed free throws and some great play from Louisville forced it into overtime.
Shabazz Napier lead Connecticut with 23 points while Jeremy Lamb had 21. Walker added 20, but he really needed that three to drop at the end of the second overtime session. (Read More…)

The Connecticut Huskies have hired Paul Pasqualoni to be their next head coach, replacing Randy Edsall.
Edsall suddenly flew the coup to take over as head coach of the Maryland Terrapins, a dream of his.
Pasqualoni comes over from the Dallas Cowboys, where he served as defensive coordinator once Wade Phillips was fired.
He was welcome to return on next year’s staff, but wanted to become a head coach once again. (Read More…)

The Connecticut Huskies are looking for a new head coach after Randy Edsall left to take the job at Maryland.
Edsall built the football program from the ground up with resounding success, taking them to a BCS bowl in just seven years.
However, he didn’t have a great relationship with the school’s athletic director and wasn’t happy about his salary.
He also wasn’t pleased that the school wasn’t sinking more money into the football program, and it probably concerned him that TCU was set to join the Big East. (Read More…)
